The flu has me in its evil clutches. I have been sick for 4 (now almost 5) days. It’s miserable. Though I call it a small triumph that I was surrounded by sick people for almost 3 weeks before my body gave up the good fight. But I think Team Kaitlin can safely pack it in now. We’ve been had.
Since I haven’t been able to get out of bed, I don’t have a post for you today. But I don’t want to leave you hanging, so I wanted to take a minute to take you on a tour of the blogs that have been keeping me company all weekend!
Time for a little…
Recipe Blogs I Drool For
Mama’s Gotta Bake – She’s bad, she’s bold…and she likes sugar
If you only have time to read one recipe, go with the latest, Chocolate Bundt Cake with Cream Cheese Filling
I’ve been dreaming of that cake since yesterday. If I could stand, I would have made that cake and devoured it already.
Unwind Cooking – Cook and Unwind While Sipping a Glass of Wine
I have 3 words for you: portabella wine sauce
I mean, obviously. If you like to cook, you probably follow her, too!
Karina’s Kitchen – The Gluten Free Goddess
This is the first recipe site I ever followed diligently. I still check it every week, nearly 4 years later. It’s a gluten free site, but you should check it out even if you’re uninterested in gluten free foods because her recipes are simply to die for. Like her artichoke and jalapeño savory pie. Yes, please.
Crafty Blogs I’d Follow Anywhere
Max Makes Home
Max is a local artist. Her blog isn’t really a tutorial site, more like a discussion of her current projects. But she does some super interesting stuff. Like painting a turntable. What??
Meagan’s tutorials are fabulous. Want to sew a yoga mat? She’s got a pattern. Want to paint an old desk? She’ll walk you through it. Just try and think of something she hasn’t done. I dare you.
Oh Happy Day
This site is serious eye candy with every post. Plus, I really love Before and After photos. They’re so satisfying.
Life Stuff That Keeps Me Sane
The Small Things Blog
She’s kind of a lifestyles blogger, albeit with a lot of focus on hair, but recently she’s branched out a bit. She has some interesting things to say about blogging and how she grew her site into what it is today.
Also, I discovered that watching her videos has a really calming effect on my flu symptoms. She has a soothing voice? Dunno.
I haunt this site. You could get lost in everything they offer. I don’t know why I love going through all the small spaces house tours. Maybe because I live in such a tiny apartment? But this site provided hours of entertainment while I’ve been stuck in bed. Love it.
I hope I’ll be back to regular posting by tomorrow or Wednesday! In the meantime, definitely take a look at some of these blogs. They’re amazeballs.
